I first visited Jon (at Optimum Performance PT) in the spring of 2017 after a long and frustrating season in which I was experiencing intense chest pain and breathing problems. As a college swimmer, this was a serious problem and affecting my performance in the pool quite a bit. After many doctors appointments, tests, and no answers I decided to give Jon a try at the urging of one of my coaches. We visited Jon as a "last hope" of sorts about a month before I was set to compete at the 2017 Big 12 Championships. Jon not only helped get my chest pain under control but finally had answers for my symptoms and helped restore my self-confidence heading into the big meet. Following, I continued to visit Jon after a significant hip injury threatened my upcoming senior season. Jon's unique approach was instrumental in allowing me to hold off surgery for a year in order to compete. Using the Protonics T1 Jon fitted me with, I was able to train consistently and manage my hip pain. I went on to have a successful season, including breaking two school records at the 2018 Big 12 Championships. I am so grateful I agreed to give Jon and his unique approach to physical therapy a try. Driving from Ames was well worth it as without Jon's help I'm positive my past two seasons would have ended much differently.
